I know it’s cliche and a bit frustrating to hear, but you just know. I entered our relationship 100 percent sure of him, as opposed to other relationships where I simply got in them to give these guys a chance to be “the one”, if that makes sense. The fact that he has never doubted his love is a bit of a confirmation for me that we’re “meant to be”, I guess.
Everyone’s different, though. Some couples wake up one random morning and realize they’re “soul mates”.
Based on your confusion, I’d imagine you haven’t been dating this guy for too long, so I’d say give it a little time to figure things out. If he doesn’t wanna give you that time, he wasn’t worth it and if you find it really just doesn’t feel right, you need to get out of that relationship.
People are an unsure kind. They get screwed over and become emotionally insecure. They start asking questions they already know the answers to. They need confirmation. They want to know if what they would personally do about a problem is the right thing to do. They just need to hear it from somebody else, as if it might miraculously heal them to know that they were right. But does it heal them? No. They are still in the same place, same state, same broken peace.
